Good start with an unfair ending

Arriving at the first meeting of the season track is 550 metres a layer of green grass covers the deep mixture of sand and dirt. A very strong line up including Jannick de Jong ,Jorg Tebbe , Paul Hurry, Dirk Fadriek, Bernad Diener , Christen Hulshort as a taster for a strong meeting. Practice went well with one of the new engines, happy with the set up I went on to win both flick training sessions.
First race i make it to the corner first along side of Jannick de Jong with the track turning in to very deep sand it made it very hard to pass and had to settle for 2nd.
Second race feeling confident i again make the brake in to 2nd place and go on the hunt for first place man Jorg Tebbe when disaster happens and the back chain snaps in half sending me and my bike rolling towards the boards. This leaves me with problems with my ankle and very sore ribs and riding again is impossible. A poor ending to what could have been a promising finish.
The bike has fork damage but already things are back to racing standards, with a couple of weeks free to regain fitness in my ankle. Although a bad start to the season also a very promising one also and very happy with equipment .

Next meeting Dingolfing in Germany
