| A successful meeting |
| Bank holiday in Dingolfing produces the First international meeting in Germany for 2009. Anybody who is anybody enters this meeting to see how winter improvements and fitness have come along for the season ahead. My day started off with problems with the gear box in practice ,which means I miss out to the Bahn record (lap times),the mechanics worked hard to get me out onto the parade lap where the gear box again fails to meet the correct standard. I swop bikes and enter my first heat on a new engine and finish in a respectable 4th. Not happy with the whole set up I once again change engines and finish 2nd in heat 2. Heat 3 followed and another 4th, still not happy with the performance of the engine so again we swop engines and I finish 2nd in heat 4. This qualifies me into the semi final, which I went onto win, giving me the last place in the final. With the final in place I finish in 4th place and 4th place in the overall meeting. |
| A good finish from a problematical start. I am happy with both engines although after talks with the engine tuner improvements are being made along with the gear box being fixed ready for this weekend in Bad Zwischuahn in Holland Andrew |
